Start Line / Finish Line Area

Most races we work with accommodate starting corrals, waves and/or multiple events or distances within the race. The Glass City Marathon has three events between 13.1 and 26.2 miles each and four exchange zones that run simultaneously. The Dexter-Ann Arbor Run offers three events from 5k to a half marathon, all with different start lines, start times, but a common finish. We also manage and time many multi-sport events which that include unique and simultaneous swim and run starts, transition areas, expansive bike courses, and multiple distances.

Chip Timing / Race Scoring

Our limitless timing capabilities leverage the latest Chronotrack technology. This includes mini and pro-controllers, flashpoints, and the new AeroTrack reader. We own all of the equipment, eliminating a need to ship in intems, or borrow from third parties to satisfy your needs.

Results can be predefined based on specific goals: Run vs. walk, 10 mile vs. 5 mile, etc. Results can also include various data points from split mats set around the course. Publishing results in a consistent environment helps ensure customers are able to locate them year-after-year, maintaining another layer of customer satisfaction. We will provide the online results link that can be published anywhere and link to a single source.

Industry Standard Technology

As an early adopter of RunSignup’s registration platform, we have utilized the technology for over a decade and maintain a close relationships and direct line of communication with their team to optimize the total race experience. We work with several national non-profits to integrate registration data, including Susan G Komen, American Heart Association and Girls on the Run. We have been a Chronotrack timer for as long and are on a first name basis with their team too.

Leveraging the RunSignup platform and on-staff photographers, we can offer instant photos that allow for watermarking and publishing immediately online. These photos are then attached via optical recognition of BIB numbers and can be categorized to different areas of the event to enhance searchibility. We regularly upload finish line video that also ties to a participant’s finish time. While we recommend RunSignup, we can support your use of Race Roster, or photographers of your choice.

It’s no surprise that we are a big fan of technology adoption to enhance operational effectiveness. We believe this all starts with BIB design. Ensuring proper fields are designed to help the customer and volunteers provide accurate race day instruction. Use of QR codes at packet pickup and dynamic BIB assigning for more efficient race day registration, and announcer mats are additional ways to enhance runners’ experiences throughout their expo visit. From registration to results, we evaluate the entire experience to identify, communicate and improve in all areas.
