Downtown Toledo was once again filled with energy, love, and a wave of pink as thousands of runners, walkers, survivors, and supporters came together for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. This powerful annual event raises critical funds for breast cancer research and support services—and 2025’s race was one of the most inspiring yet.

Behind the scenes, Run Toledo was proud to play a key role in making sure the race went off without a hitch. From pre-race logistics to race-day execution, our team worked closely with Komen organizers to ensure a smooth and successful event from start to finish.

Race-Day Ready: Setup and Logistics

Bringing a race of this size to life in the heart of downtown Toledo requires strategic planning and expert coordination. Run Toledo managed all aspects of event setup, including course marking, barricades, signage, and finish line infrastructure. We ensured that every piece was in place—from start-line arches to water stations—so participants could focus on their experience, not the logistics.

Precision Timing for Every Participant

In addition to logistics, Run Toledo was responsible for the chip timing and results management, giving every participant an accurate finish time. Whether runners were racing in memory of a loved one, supporting a friend, or celebrating their own survivorship, we made sure their moments were tracked and honored with precision and care.

A Powerful Success

With thousands in attendance and powerful stories shared throughout the day, the 2025 Race for the Cure was a resounding success. Survivors led the way, cheered on by family, friends, and strangers alike. The unity, spirit, and emotion of the morning reminded everyone why this race matters—and why we keep showing up year after year.

At Run Toledo, we’re honored to support events that go beyond the finish line. The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure is more than a race—it’s a movement of hope, strength, and community. We’re proud to stand beside the Komen team in their mission and look forward to continuing our partnership in the years to come.
