Run Toledo became an official company. Building on its success managing the Glass City Marathon, the organization expanded its focus beyond race management to include event consulting and race development throughout the region. Run Toledo began partnering with communities, charities, and sponsors to create new running events that promoted active lifestyles and local engagement. This growth solidified Run Toledo’s reputation as a leader in endurance event management.

2013

As local community races flourished, Dave’s Running Shop naturally became the central hub for sponsorship and community support. Recognizing this increasing need, Matt Mason, a third-generation family member of Dave’s Running Shop, invested in timing equipment. This initiative allowed him to bring his passion for running and commitment to precision to the local racing scene.

2015

DRS Timing officially became its own company, marking another milestone in the growth of the regional running community. With a focus on precision, technology, and reliability, DRS Timing quickly expanded its services to support races of all sizes across the Midwest. The company’s reputation for accuracy and professionalism is what led to race timing and results management for over 200 races annually. Its dedication to innovation and customer service helped elevate the race-day experience for organizers, athletes, and spectators alike.

2016

Run Toledo merged with DRS Timing, uniting two of the region’s leading race management and timing organizations under one brand. The merger combined Run Toledo’s expertise in event organization and marketing with DRS Timing’s advanced race timing technology and operational precision. This partnership strengthened their presence in the running community and laid the foundation for continued growth and innovation across all aspects of race production.

In 2021, Clint McCormick was honored as Road Race Management Director of the Year, recognizing his outstanding leadership, innovation, and dedication to the running community.
