Half Marathon
The Scouting America Half Marathon offers three distances and all events begin and finish at the Wood County Fairgrounds. The half marathon enjoys a very flat route through the heart of a college downtown. This course scenery sees it all: industrial, downtown, wooded bike paths, golf course neighborhood, and City Park. Water stops are staffed by our area scout troops in uniform who thank you for supporting them. The post race refreshment zone, sponsored by Southeastern Container, offering chocolate milk, fresh fruit, and more. Finally, scout troops will be serving up a pancake breakfast for all — now included with your registration.

1 START LINE • 3 ROUTES • 1 FINISH LINE

The half marathon course highlights the best of Bowling Green. The start and finish line is at the Wood County Fairgrounds. Your run will take you through eclectic downtown BG to the Slippery Elm Trail, through a quiet golf course neighborhood, past City Park, concluding with finish inside the Wood County Fairgrounds. This course has little elevation changes, smooth paved roads, and will show you Bowling Green, Ohio like never before.

The Boy Scout 10k follows the same route as the half marathon until just after mile 4 where it turns off of N Main St. onto Liberty. It then reconnects with lead half marathoners on Fairview Ave. to follow the same course back to the fairgrounds. After entering the fairgrounds, 10k’ers will continue on the 5k finish route along track.

The Tenderfoot 5K course is a loop course beginning with the half marathon on Poe Rd., leading north up Haskins Rd. to Newton, back down Brim to a finish along the causeway of the Wood County fairgrounds. The course has little elevation changes, smooth paved roads, and is expected to provide very fast race times.
