PATRICK GALLAGHER

I hold a unique position, as I work both spectrums of sponsorship coordination for both Dave’s Running and Run Toledo event.

First with Dave’s Running, as the liaison for our nearly 300 locally sponsored running events, I provide pre-race consultation as part of our no worries strategy, as well as coordination of our timing and print shop services.

As the Run Toledo Sponsorship Coordinator, I assist in furthering the experience of our participants by developing corporate partnerships with local companies of all sizes; getting them involved on multiple levels. I target companies that fit our community health mission as good partners.

I spent nearly 10 years in the corporate sector in Sales/Account Management/Marketing. I also ventured in the nonprofit world for a few years with the American Heart Association, where I was the Toledo Heart Walk Director, setting records for both money raised ($400,000) and attendance (7,000 walkers/runners), as well as a record sponsorship sales of $192,000. 

Awards: 2015-2016 American Heart Association Fiscal and event year goal achievement; 2015-2016 AHA Great Rivers Affiliate Rookie of the Year Runner up.

I received my Bachelor of Business Administration from Tiffin University, and looking to begin my graduate degree at Bowling Green State University soon.

My runner status would be labeled as “recreational,” but having worked in this industry for a few years now, I see how this is more than running, it is a culture of healthy living and I am eager to see how far I can go physically and mentally through the sport.

Athletically, I come from a baseball/football background and I also play men’s competitive softball. I also like to golf and coach football, baseball and basketball at the youth and high school level. I am married and have 2 kids (Blake & Raegan) and we have an old Puggle named Reggie.
