RUN TOLEDO TEAM MEMBER

CLINT McCORMICK

Sr. Event Director / Chief Operator

I am responsible for management of our signature events (Glass City Marathon, Dexter to Ann Arbor, and Run the 419 Series), as well as oversight and development of our other Run Toledo race directors.

Coming from a background in the technology sector, coupled with an MBA, I have over a decade of major event management experience and a knack for understanding markets and customer desires.

As an accomplished high school athlete,  I was one of the first RRCA certified race directors in Ohio, along with a Level 1 Race Director Certification from USA Triathlon. In 2021 I was awarded Race Director of the Year by Road Race Management.

I have been involved in running since the early 1990’s where I was an accomplished high school runner for Perrysburg High School in both cross country and track. I earned 12 varsity letters in three sports (cross country, wrestling, and track), and an early recipient of my hometown club’s runner of the year award in 1995. I have completed too many races to count up through the marathon distance, as well as triathlons and duathlons through the Olympic distance, although I tend to favor duathlons over triathlons — why Tri it when you can Du it!

When not planning or managing an event, you will find Clint in the woods camping or hunting with his family.

I believe in a no worries attitude and being happy doing what you do. When we are tasked to put on an event, it goes further for us — how will we change lives? Whether through our participants, or through the community outreach programs we have developed, changing lives is a rewarding line of work. I am lucky to be surrounded by an amazing team of professionals who love what they do and being part of changing peoples’ lives one mile at a time. When one is able to couple passion and work, the job comes easy.
